Who are we?

Harmonie: Language and Culture B.V. believes in the dialogue between people and cultures. Language is the instrument with which we promote cohesion in society, and with which each individual realizes himself within society. Just like in music, it's about the harmony between different players. With Harmonie we want to help people integrating to feel at home in the Netherlands more quickly. We want to provide good education first and foremost. In addition, we see Harmonie as a community in which all students can show Dutch teachers and institutions the good and beautiful sides of their own culture. We are very proud of our Dutch teachers and of our student supervisors. They understand students' ambitions and doubts or problems. They work in close consultation with the Dutch teachers and coordinators and make an important contribution to the success of the students.

We have an informal, warm atmosphere. Social involvement, a positive approach and personal attention for our students are important to us. Combined with the high quality of our language courses, students find an excellent basis for pursuing personal learning goals. During the intake we recognize the potential in students, we make agreements about a tailor-made language program and we set goals together. During the course, the student works with a learning portfolio for extracurricular learning and participation. We promote self-confidence, stimulate self-reliance and motivate and support students towards training and (voluntary) work.
